The Shrewsbury Club Hosts another Indoor Rowing World Record

The team comprised of 5 ladies and 9 men, all of whom had trained hard prior to the event in order to set a challenging target for anyone thinking of challenging the title. The team started off at an average pace of 1:45/1:46 per 500 metres and managed to maintain it throughout the near 6 hours it took them to complete the event. After 5:50:18.4, Paul Victory from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire,  rowed the final few strokes with all the members of the team and supporters cheering him home.
After a well earned shower, the team retired to The Hub for a well deserved post-event meal and a drink or two. After having set a 50+ 100K record in January 2015 and a 60+ record in 2016, it remains to be seen what rowing target will be acquired for January 2017.
