Re-Opening Information for May 17th - July 19th
It has been great to have the Club open and we are so grateful for the support of all our members over the last few weeks. We realise that some of the restrictions we are forced to put in place have impacted on members enjoyment of the Club but we appreciate your help in complying with them.
As we are sure you are aware the Government has delayed the relaxing of rules and we are therefore required to continue with the current restrictions in place at the Club until 19th July. Here are the guidelines we currently have in place:
Gym
The gym remains open with the equipment spaced to comply with social distancing. You will need to use your own bottle of sanitiser which we will provide and wipe down the equipment before and after use.
There is no need to book, you just come in and use the gym whenever you want.
If you are not used to the new equipment we installed last month then the gym team will be around to show you how and there are instructional screens on all the equipment. You will be able to use your membership card to activate the machines, although your keys will also work. If you have the wellness app on your phone then this can used to activate the machines too.
Teenage Gym Use
Teenage members are welcome to use the gym at the following times:
Monday to Friday: 15:30 – 18:00
Weekends – All day
Please note that they must be accompanied by a Parent/Guardian throughout their visit and that all the gym equipment for their use is now upstairs in the new layout.
Swimming Pool / Sauna / Steam Room Open
The swimming pool can be used in adult times without booking. The vitality pool will be open and we can now open the sauna and steam room too.
Please note that due to social distancing there can only be two people in either the sauna or steam room at the same time unless they are all from the same family unit.
Family swim can be booked, via reception.
The family swim times are as follows:
Monday – Friday: 9am – 10:15am
2pm – 2:50pm
4pm – 4:50pm
5pm – 5:50pm
Saturday / Sunday: 10:30am – 11:20am
11:30am – 12:20pm
3pm – 3:50pm
4pm – 4:50pm
5pm – 5:50pm
All other times are adult only.
Parents are now allowed to be on poolside whilst children swim but must socially distance from others on poolside
Group Exercise Classes
We are delighted to be able to relaunch indoor group exercise classes. The new timetable is on the website here.
We have over 100 classes to choose from across the week so we hope that you will be able to enjoy the class of your choice.
Please note that this will include Aqua classes in the pool as well.
Due to social distancing, numbers will be limited compared to pre-pandemic times but we are going to be livestreaming some classes which are held in the health and fitness studio in the gym so please do check the timetable and see if your class is being livestreamed if you are unable to get into the class itself.
#BASE and Yoga Pod
We know the #BASE outdoor classes have been popular and in addition to the indoor classes we will still be offering 26 classes a week at the #BASE. These can also be booked online.
The yoga pod is now up and we are just waiting for the flooring to go down and the lighting and air conditioning to be installed. We are also installing some acoustic boards to ensure the echo is minimised and make the classes more enjoyable. There are also some points that need sealing as part of the snagging from the original build. We hope to launch the pod at the next unwinding of restrictions due to happen on June 21st.
The Hub
We are delighted that we can reopen this area and all the chairs and tables will be back out as usual. It will be the perfect place to catch up with friends or, thanks to the free wifi, provide a great alternative to working from home.
We are limited to groups of six per table but the Hub hours will be back to 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday, and 8am – 7pm at the weekend. Please note that food is available to be ordered as follows:
8am – 7:30pm – Monday – Wednesday
8am – 5:30pm – Thursday and Friday
9am – 4:45pm – Saturday and Sunday
Soft Play Area
As well as the Hub reopening, the soft play will also be able to open. We have given the area a thorough cleanse and all the play equipment has been checked and serviced by the manufacturer so it is ready for your children to enjoy again.
Please note that you will need to book sessions for your child to attend so that we can comply with the social distancing regulations and to allow for a thorough clean between sessions.
Indoor Tennis
We will now be able to allow full use of the indoor courts for both singles and doubles play. We are also allowed to have spectators so parents are able to watch the junior coaching as they wish. Please book online in the usual way and enjoy being back on court.
Please note that court 4 will still be used for the spin bikes but we plan to have back as a tennis court when we reach the next stage of reopening on June 21st.
Changing Rooms
Please be aware that the although the changing rooms are open, you should only use them if you need to. It is preferable if you can arrive “exercise ready” and not use the changing rooms. Clearly, we appreciate that this doesn’t apply to those of you who are going into the swimming pool.
We’ve loved having members back in the Club and we will continue to do all we can to look after everyone and have all the appropriate protocols in place to keep the Club operating to COVID secure guidelines.
We continue to work as hard as we always have to ensure your safety is our top priority.
If you need to contact us then please do email via [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Many thanks for your support and for your understanding whilst we operate under these latest government guidelines.
