The players are here for the Aegon Pro Series Ladies $25k ITF tournament in association with Morris & Co Homes which is one of the biggest sporting events to be held in Shropshire.
Our Civic Reception is designed to welcome the players, coaches and officials and also to bring together the local business community and our members at The Shrewsbury Club to celebrate the event.
We believe that this tournament is a valuable asset to the town bringing around 300 people from all over UK and Europe to Shrewsbury. The spin off benefits to accommodation, restaurants and attractions is significant. In addition the town gets profiled through the media coverage and the matches are promoted around the world by the International Tennis Federation so the marketing benefits to local tourism is also high.
