We offer one of the biggest choices of classes in the Midlands - over 100 classes a week, all included in membership. So no matter what your age or ability, The Shrewsbury Club will have a class for you! They are great fun, and you will also enjoy the benefits of getting motivation from your fellow group members, as well as the ongoing social aspects.

Our fitness studios in Shrewsbury are fully air conditioned and were part of the Winter 2017 refurbishment programme. A quality training environment complemented by quality instruction and easy booking online. Unlike some clubs, because of the large number of classes we run, you should be able to book onto the majority of classes you want.
Currently we offer our base classes which are all outdoors, in the main studio we have our main exercise classes plus spin classes and then we have our mind and body classes.
Our group exercise classes, like all our activities, are for members only. We do not offer Pay As You Go sessions.
BASE OUTDOOR CLASSES
ULIMATE 360/BOOTCAMP
Get outdoors! Our all-year-round Bootcamp and Ultimate360 sessions combine basic strength
exercises with high intensity intervals – whatever the weather! Our Bootcamp sessions will take
you through a range of drills, with a mixture of bodyweight exercises and outdoor equipment.
Our Ultimate360 sessions take fitness back to basics with exercises including tyre flips,
sledgehammers, rope slams and much more. See just how far you can push your body!

RESHAPE
Punch, pedal and pace your way to a new level of fitness with this body conditioning class.
Combining kettlebells, bodyweight and TRX suspension exercises, work multiple muscle groups at
the same for a full body sweat sesh’ that improves your strength, balance and core.

BUGGY BABIES CIRCUITS
Get a good cardiovascular and resistance workout to either improve your fitness and support your
weight loss goals post birth or maintain your fitness levels during pregnancy adapted to whatever
stage you are at, cycling through several exercises.

BODY WEIGHTS CIRCUITS
This total body home circuit includes a variety of classic bodyweight exercises to work your body
from head to toes. Some of the moves include plyometric jumping and other high-intensity moves.

FUNCTIONAL FIT
Functional fitness is a type of exercise class that supports your everyday life. It includes movements such as running, cycling, conditioning, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, lunging, lifting, gymnastics and core. These exercises improve functional strength for making a better developed well founded human with the focus on better movements, longevity, injury prevention and health.

BUGGY BABIES HIIT
Whether you're pregnant or are a new mum, our pre and post natal training specialists will help

HEALTH AND FITNESS EXERCISE CLASSES
BODYATTACK
BODYATTACK is a high-energy fitness class with moves that cater for total beginners to total addicts.
We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as
push-ups and squats.

BODYCOMBAT
BODYCOMBAT is an exercise class that lets you punch and kick your way towards your fitness goals.
Not only is it a great whole-body workout for cardio fitness, but it's also superb for burning fat,
releasing stress and improving your co-ordination.

BODYPUMP
BODYPUMP is THE ORIGINAL BARBELL CLASS ™, the ideal workout for anyone looking to get lean,
toned and fit – fast. Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a
total body workout. It can burn up to 400 calories**.

LES MILLS CORE
LES MILLS CORE is a scientific core workout that uses athletic training principles to build strength,
stability and endurance in the muscles that support your core. The integrated core training moves
hone in on the torso and sling muscles that connect your upper body to your lower body.

LES MILLS GRIT
LES MILLS GRIT is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve
strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate
and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups.

BATTLE
Are you ready to fight? Battle is a combination of cardio and conditioning with fitness drills. Release
your day-to-day stresses and increase your fitness levels as you feel like your very-own Mike Tyson as
you give it all you’ve got on the punchbags. Look out for our live DJ sets on Thursday nights with
banging music that will keep you pushing on. Let the battle commence!

KETTLEBELLS
Your answer to a simple, but effective, workout is here! Our kettlebells class is a structured full body training
session that combines power and strength to build up your stamina and strength. Consisting of timed sets and a
variety of exercises, this class is suited to all fitness levels. You’ll leave feeling challenged and motivated!

POWER HOUR
Working out is the new going out! Our Power Hour session is your new fun way to keep fit, combining elements
from our Reshape, Battle and Lift classes, set against incredible tunes to keep your motivation and heartrate
pumping. A high energy way to celebrate the end of the week, or kickstart your weekend!

LBT
LBT stands for legs, bums and tums. LBT classes are suitable for all fitness levels. Each class is different, but
they’re all designed to tone your legs, glutes, abs and core.

ABS BLAST
Abs Blast is an intense abdominal workout aimed at developing core muscles. Our instructors take you
through a range of mat-based exercises of varying intensities and motivate you to achieve your desired
results.

HIIT
As you can tell from the name, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is challenging. It takes your cardio workout to
another level, as you push your pace out of your comfort zone.

CIRCUITS
What is circuit training? Circuit training is a style of workout where you cycle through several exercises targeting
different muscle groups with minimal rest in between.

LATINOAEROBICS
Uses movements common in types of Latin dance such as tango and cha-cha to promote fitness.

BOXERCISE
Boxercise is an exercise concept based on the training methods used by boxers. Sessions typically involve hitting
focus pads but no class involves hitting an opponent. A fun, challenging and safe workout, safe for all fitness levels.

FAMILY CLUBBERCISE
Exclusively for parent’s family friends and their children. The music is a mix of party anthems from the 90’s to the
latest hits. A fun and social way for families to get fitter together.

MIND & BODY STUDIO CLASSES
FLOW YOGA
Flow yoga is the general term given to any style of yoga asana in which the practitioner
moves dynamically from one posture immediately into another, following the breath. This
continuous flow of movement and breath generates a meditative state, encouraging
practitioners to let go of thought and focus on experience of the present moment.

PILOXING
Piloxing is a group exercise class that blends Pilates, boxing and dance. It's a high-energy interval
workout that involves heart-pumping, powerful boxing combinations and sculpting and
lengthening Pilates-influenced movements.

YOGA
Yoga is a type of exercise in which you move your body into various positions in order to become
more fit or flexible, to improve your breathing, and to relax your mind.

PILATES
Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on
core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to Yoga,
Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility.

ZUMBA
Zumba is a fitness program that combines Latin and international music with dance moves. Zumba
routines incorporate interval training — alternating fast and slow rhythms — to help improve
cardiovascular fitness.

DANCE AEROBICS
Aerobic dance has its foundation in dance-inspired movements. It is a cardiovascular workout set
to music in a group exercise setting. You do not have to memorize dance moves, as the classes
are taught by instructors who verbally tell and visually show the choreography. The classes are
considered aerobic when you use full-body, rhythmic, large-muscle movements.

BARRE FITNESS
Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class - combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of
Pilaes, dance, yoga and strength training. Most classes incorporate a ballet barre and use
classic dance moves such as plies, alongside static stretches.

HOT YOGA
An invigorating session that’s great for the mind and body. Set in a heated room allows you to
feel more zen, helping you to go a little more deeply and safely into postures – week after week
you’ll start to see incredible progression. Leave this class feeling sweaty and energized.

YIN YOGA
It’s slower and more meditative than other yoga, giving you space to turn inward and tune into
both your mind and the physical sensations of your body.

SWISS BALL
A fun, low impact conditioning class, Our Swiss Ball class mixes sequences of upbeat
cardio with slow controlled exercises, focusing on strength and stamina reshaping
the body and burning calories.

NIA
Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing
arts. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and
spirit.

TAI CHI
Tai chi is a series of gentle physical exercises and stretches. Each posture flows into the next
without pause, ensuring that your body is in constant motion. Tai chi is sometimes described as
meditation in motion because it promotes serenity through gentle movements — connecting the
mind and body.

OLIT
Elements of Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates and Capoeira have been combined to create OLIT. Through
this unique combination the movements in OLIT can flow naturally from one to another, with
each movement in harmony with the body.

SPIN STUDIO CLASSES
SPIN
In a spin class, you'll hop on a stationary bike and pedal the entire time, adjusting the resistance
to make it easier or more challenging. Spin is another form of HIIT training – you'll do bursts of
high-intensity work, followed by short recovery periods.

BUGGY BABIES SPIN
A truly fantastic 30-minute cardiovascular workout, performed on The Shrewsbury Club's
stationary bikes. Our Instructor will keep you motivated as you simulate riding along flat roads,
climbing hills and maybe even racing some sprints! All whilst baby watches you go and enjoys
the music.

RPM
RPM is a group indoor cycling workout where you control the intensity. It's fun, low impact and you
can burn up to 500 calories a session**. With great music pumping and the group cycling as one,
your instructor takes you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding.

CARDIO CORE
Cardio Core combines interval sets on the bike with timed exercises that focus on your core and
abdominals. Get fit in and out of the saddle with sprints, intervals and resistance challenges
whilst focusing on technical aspects of core stability. This is a great way to burn the calories and
build up your fitness.

RIDE
The race is on! Get your heartrate pumping, as you find your rhythm to banging tunes in Ride – our
high intensity bike workout. Get fit fast with structured sets of tempo rides, interval training and
sprint finishes that help you boost your cardio fitness and meet your own personal training goals.

METCON
Push your mental and physical abilities with Metcon – a class that combines body
weight, kettlebells and short bike exercises for a full body burn. With EMOM (every
minute on the minute) and AMRAP (as many reps as possible) challenges, this is a time
efficient class that works every part of your body.
